Darryl Yap Did Not Ask Permission from TVJ, Screenshots Surface

Jesus Falcis shares screenshots of Darryl Yap saying he did not ask for TVJ’s permission.

Pepsi Paloma director Darryl Yap has allegedly not asked permission from TVJ and these screenshots from Jesus Falcis are the “resibo”.

Vic Sotto filed a case against Darryl Yap, the director of upcoming Pepsi Paloma movies. The veteran comedian filed 19 counts of cyber libel, amounting to Php 35 million in total damages.

Based on a previous article, Yap’s gag order petition was granted by the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205. Based on the order, all the parties are not to publicly speak or discuss the pending case “as well as any matters learned from the proceedings of this case” until resolved. They must “observe strict confidentiality in compliance with the sub judice rule”.

Moreover, the legal counsel of Yap previously claimed that Sotto’s camp was given a copy of the script of the Pepsi Paloma film but Tito Sotto refuted this. They have not received a copy of the film, hence, the cyber libel complaints filed against Yap as Vic’s name was clearly mentioned in the teaser in a controversial way.

Recently, Jesus Falcis, shared screenshots on his social media page and these screenshots showed Yap’s comments about not asking permission from TVJ or the trio of Tito and Vic with Joey De Leon.

There was a clear statement that he did not ask for their permission when dropping names as he trusted that there were publishing and public documents available for his subject. He also did not consult the trio before making the script.

“Mismong kliyente na nya na si DY ang nagsabi nuon na hindi nagpaalam or binigyan ng script ang TVJ or sina Vic Sotto. Multiple times sinabi yan ni DY sa FB page nya sa mga comments section,” Falcis wrote.
