David Licauco On His Performance In ‘Pulang Araw’

David Licauco thanked everyone who supported his Kapuso series

Kapuso actor David Licauco talked about his performance in the primetime historical drama series Pulang Araw.

David is one of the most in-demand young actors now. He got his big break in the Kapuso series Maria Clara at Ibarra for his role Fidel. In the series, his onscreen partnership with Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza unexpectedly became a hit.

This was followed by different projects and their BarDa loveteam continues to gain support from fans. Then, they were given a chance to be in another big project, the Pulang Araw.

In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, David Licauco talked about his performance in the Kapuso series which showed a glimpse of the hard times that Filipinos went through during the Japanese occupation.

He played the character of Hiroshi, a Japanese who grew up in the Philippines and was forced to be a soldier during the war. His fans saw his growth as an actor in this project. In the series, Japanese actress Maria Ozawa played as his mom. In a past interview, Maria shared that she had a good time doing this project. David admitted that he was mesmerized when he first saw Maria.

Honestly everything talaga is challenging. I’m just really so happy na I was able to pull it off. Hopefully, I didn’t disappoint the fans, the production, GMA, Sparkle,” the Kapuso actor shared.

David expressed gratitude to everyone who has been supporting their series. He is also hopeful that fans will continue to support them in their next projects.

I just wanna say thank you for watching Pulang Araw the past five months. Sana ay suportahan niyo pa rin kaming lahat dito sa susunod naming gagawin na proyekto. Mahalin natin ang ating bansa,” David Licauco said.

Pulang Araw also featured Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Kapuso drama king Dennis Trillo, and actress Sanya Lopez.
