Woman Expresses Grief After the Passing of Cat That Used to Steal Their Food
A woman touched the hearts of netizens after sharing a photo of the remains of the cat that often took their food.
Recently, Azra Taj, a Facebook user, shared how the cat, known for stealing their food, had passed away, leaving her feeling unexpectedly sad. The post quickly circulated online and elicited comments from netizens.
Taj said that the cat was always around their neighborhood, especially when food was involved. No one owned it, but it acted like it belonged there, often sneaking off with their meals. At first, her family found it frustrating, but now that the cat’s gone, she admitted it felt strange and heartbreaking.

The woman pointed out how much love and care fancy pets like Persian cats get, while street cats like the one that visited her often go unnoticed. Strays, she said, don’t just need food, they need kindness, too.
Feed them if you can, but at the very least, don’t hurt them. These little guys might not have an owner, but they matter just as much as the pets we adore at home. Stray animals might not always get our attention, but they deserve compassion, too.

“Just realized how heartbreaking it is for a cat to pass away without anyone really noticing. The bull cat that’s been hanging around here, the one no one owns but always shows up, especially when we’re eating—he’s gone now. Ang dami niyang naitangay na ulam from us before, which we absolutely hated, but now that he’s gone… I can’t help but feel bad.
It’s crazy how we put so much attention on Persian breed cats, even go as far as breeding and pampering them, yet the stray street cats like him are left to fend for themselves. Parang walang pakialam, kahit sila yung totoong nangangailangan ng care.
I hope that whenever we see street cats, we shouldn’t ignore them or treat them badly. Pakainin if you can, wag sipain, sagasaan, or cause any harm just because no one owns them. They matter too.
It’s a reminder again in life that sometimes, it’s the ones no one notices that matter the most.
RIP for your nine lives, bori-cat.”
