Local governments called class suspensions on Thursday.

#WALANGPASOK – Here are some local government units (LGUs) that announced class suspensions on Thursday, November 7, due to typhoon Marce.

Several areas in Luzon have been added under Signal No. 3 based on the latest update about Typhoon Marce. Because of the typhoon threats, several local government units (LGUs) called to suspend classes.

Here’s a list of places that declared no classes:

LUZON
Cagayan Valley
  • Batanes – all levels (public and private)
  • Cagayan
    • Alcala – all levels (public and private)
    • Enrile – all levels (public and private)
    • Rizal – all levels (public and private)
    • Sanchez-Mira – all levels (public and private)
    • Santo Niño – all levels (public and private)
Central Luzon
  • Aurora
    • Dipaculao – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
Cordillera Administrative Region
  • Abra – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
  • Apayao – all levels (public and private)
  • Benguet – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
  • Baguio City – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
Ilocos Region
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur – all levels (public and private)
  • Pangasinan
    • Laoac – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
    • San Fabian – all levels (public and private)
    • San Quintin – all levels (public and private)

So far, the highest Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal hoisted is at number 3, and the highest that can possibly be hoisted is Signal 4.

The typhoon is expected to make landfall and traverse Babuyan Islands and/or the northern portions of mainland Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, and Apayao, or pass very close to the said areas from Thursday afternoon to early Friday morning. Either way, it may seriously damage places mostly in the northern part of Luzon.

Marce may exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Friday evening.
