Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte’s Drug Test Result Now Out
Paolo Duterte’s drug test result was released by his office following a challenge to his rival in the 2025 Elections.
The Dutertes are among the most popular clans in the political arena in the Philippines. Their patriarch, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, is popular for his war on drugs campaign which is now probed by the Senate and the House of Representatives. Several deaths are linked to his campaign.
However, amid Duterte being known for how he hates drugs, there are still drug allegations linked to some of his family members most especially to his eldest son, Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte.
Amid the allegations, Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte went through a drug test. It followed his challenge to his political rival in the upcoming 2025 Midterm Elections. He is seeking re-election as the representative of the 1st District of Davao City.
Duterte challenged PBA Part List Rep. Margarita “Migs” Nograles, his opponent in the seat of the Davao City 1st District representative, to undergo a drug test. Recently, the office of the former presidential son released the result of his drug test.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte tested negative in drug test. According to his office, he went through a seven-panel hair follicle test by Omega Laboratories on October 23.
Duterte’s office further said that the results were certified by Hi-Precision Diagnostics Center. In its statement, the office said that the test that the Davao City 1st District Representative went through “is known for its high accuracy and is often used in legal, corporate, and personal cases where reliable results are required”.
Based on the report, the office of Duterte stressed that the drug test result of the Davao City 1st District Representative “reinforces Paolo Duterte’s claim of being drug-free amidst rumors and accusations surrounding political figures”.
In August, Rep. Duterte filed a bill that seeks to mandate a random drug test among all the elected and appointed officials of the government.
