A working student in Pasig City lost his life after being shot by two suspects who stole the motorcycle he used for deliveries.

The victim, Allan Vincent Eugenio, a 22-year-old college student and church sacristan, was also working as a food delivery rider to help support his family and fund his education. His motorcycle, which he used for deliveries, was stolen by the suspects.

According to CCTV footage, Eugenio had just parked his motorcycle outside his home in Barangay Sumilang early Monday morning after finishing work. While gathering his belongings, two men approached him.

One of them pulled out a gun and shot Eugenio at close range. Despite being injured, Eugenio attempted to run away but was chased and shot multiple times, eventually collapsing from his injuries.

After the attack, the suspects fled the scene, taking his motorcycle with them. Eugenio’s family, who heard the gunshots, rushed outside only to find him lifeless, devastated by the sudden loss of their loved one. Police reports revealed that Eugenio had been shot ten times.

Eugenio’s mother expressed her grief, sharing how her son had big dreams of helping the family, only to have his life taken in an instant. She questioned why the attackers had to kill her son when their intention appeared to be to steal the motorcycle.

“Bakit ganun yung ginawa niyo sa anak ko. Kung intensiyon niyo na agawin yung motor lang sana kinuha niyo na lang, bakit pinatay niyo pa,” the victim’s mother said.

The police authorities arrested two suspects, aged 19 and 21, both residents of a different barangay in Pasig. The authorities stated that the suspects had a history of criminal activities, including carjacking and attempted homicide.
