Male Teacher Marries Former Student From His Grade 5 Advisory Class
A teacher received reactions from netizens after proudly sharing that he and his wife have a 36-year age gap.
Recently, Benedict Mary Ambos, a Facebook user, posted about how he ended up marrying a former student from his Grade 5 advisory class. The post quickly sparked reactions from the online community.
In his post, Benedict expressed how he never imagined that the young student sitting next to him in class would one day become his wife and the mother of their adorable child.
Despite being active in church groups like Singles for Christ and having a successful banking career at the Philippine National Bank, he didn’t expect to get married at such a late age. He even worked abroad in Uganda and Qatar before finding his way back to the Philippines, where he began teaching at a public school.
It was during his first year as a teacher that he met his future wife, who later admitted to having feelings for him. According to Benedict, their relationship developed over time, with playful teasing from her classmates, which eventually led to them getting engaged.
After being engaged for four years, they finally got married in church and have now been happily together for five years. They were also blessed with a child after their wedding.

May age gap kami na 36 years. God is really working wonders.
I never thought magkakaasawa pa ako in a very late age.
Bago ako napunta sa public school ay nakapag work pa ako sa Uganda, East Africa bilang Program Management Advisor as consultant sa village banking for 14 months at nasundan pa as Accountant sa Qatar for 1 year at nag full time college teaching for Accounting subjects and eventually landed as SPED/Regular Elementary Teacher sa Angels Institute of Learning for 4 years.
After all these, saka lang ako pumasok sa public school and have that kiddie girl in the picture in my first year of teaching. I was active then in the church and noong mag high school na sya ay gumawa sya ng paraan na mapansin ko sya.
Naging 4 years kaming engaged saka ikinasal sa simbahan and right now ay 5 years na kaming nagsasama with God’s blessing na biniyayaan ng anak after our church wedding and by December 29, 2024 ay 9 years na kaming mag ON. Thank you sa Couples for Christ Saint Dominic Savio Chapter sa Mandaluyong for nourishing our married life under the leadership of Spouses Bro. Albert D. Tenedero and Sis Emma Tenedero at aming supportive at hands-on Ninang, Sis Lolita Caruncho . Thank you po sa SDO Mandaluyong for giving me a wife to love forever.”
