Sandro Muhlach Attends Seminar For Harassment, Sparkle Artists Feels Awkward During Q&A

Ogie Diaz shared something about Sandro Muhlach

Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz mentioned in his recent Showbiz Update vlog that Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach attended the seminar held by GMA management regarding harassment in showbiz.

Sandro became the center of this issue when he bravely spoke about the harassment he allegedly experienced from GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz. The 23-year-old actor filed r@pe complaint against them.

Sandro’s decision to speak and fight for himself became an encouragement for others. This pushed singer-actor Gerald Santos to speak also about the alleged harassment he experienced from musical director Danny Tan.

With this, the entertainment industry somehow became more aware of this issue. In a past episode of Ogie’s Showbiz Update, he mentioned that GMA writers were warned not to get too close to the talents.

In a recent episode of Ogie’s YouTube talk show, he said that GMA’s legal department conducted a seminar to discuss with Sparkle artists the harassment issue in showbiz. He shared photos and clips apparently taken during the seminar.

Sila’y nagkaroon ng seminar tungkol sa sexual harassment kung sakaling ‘yung nangyari kay Sandro ay mangyari rin sa kanila para alam nila kung ano ang dapat gawin,” Ogie shared.

The talent manager-vlogger said that if this is true, what GMA did is a thumbs up for him. He also pointed out that all TV networks to do this kind of seminar as well to know what to do once someone is in this kind of situation.

Then, Ogie said that Sandro Muhlach, who is also one of the talents of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, arrived. There was a question and answer portion during the seminar but Ogie said that other artists felt awkward or shy to ask since Sandro was already there.

Nahiya na magtanong ‘yung iba tungkol sa sexual harassment kasi nandoon na si Sandro parang na-awkward na silang magtanong about it,” Ogie said. However, the talent manager-vlogger pointed out that this goes to show that Sandro Muhlach is really determined to spread awareness.
