A long-trusted family driver robbed and stabbed his employers in Cavite, resulting in the death of the wife.
A married couple in Cavite was brutally attacked by their long-trusted driver, who not only robbed them but also stabbed them, resulting in the wife’s death. The horrifying incident happened during a business trip.
The couple victim identifies as Marlon and Charie Cantuba, were business owners from Candaba, Pampanga. They traveled with their driver, Jomar Domingo Tambo, to Naic, Cavite, to pick up frozen meat supplies for their business.
Tambo insisted on driving the couple and even convinced them to visit a place where they could supposedly buy the products at a cheaper price.
“Siya na raw bahala sa transaksyon, basta sasama lang sila at dala ang pera. Nag-alok siya sa mababang halaga, bilang negosyante, gustong subukan at i-grab ng mag asawa,” the cousin of the victims, Jolo said.
Upon reaching a remote area, Tambo stopped the vehicle, pretending to relieve himself. It was at this moment that he turned on the couple. He attacked Marlon first, stabbing him before moving on to Charie.
Despite being injured, Marlon tried to protect his wife, but she sustained severe wounds, particularly to her throat. Although she was rushed to the hospital, Charie succumbed to her injuries, while Marlon survived and is currently in stable condition.
Tambo fled the scene with P3 million in cash that the couple had brought for their business transaction. Authorities are now on the hunt for the suspect, who remains at large.
The tragic incident has left the family devastated, and the community shocked that such an attack could be carried out by someone they had trusted for years.
