Mon Confiado Won’t Withdraw Cyber Libel Complaint Against Content Creator

Mon Confiado is determined to continue his legal battle with Ileiad

Actor Mon Confiado won’t withdraw his cyber libel complaint against Jeff Jacinto also known as content creator Ileiad.

Mon cried foul after Jacinto shared a fabricated story on his Facebook page. Allegedly, the actor refused to pose for a photo with the content creator rudely. Ileiad also wrote in his post that Mon did not pay for the chocolates he took from the grocery store where they allegedly met.

Mon responded to this. He called out the content creator for his fabricated story. Although Ileiad apologized, he did not delete his post, instead, he just put a disclaimer saying that the post was not true and it was just a joke.

Mon Confiado decided to take legal action. He filed a cyber libel complaint at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against Jeff Jacinto.

The content creator asked the actor to withdraw the complaint he filed. However, based on the article in ABS-CBN News, Mon is determined to push through with what he is fighting for.

The actor said that Jacinto pleaded and apologized but still did not take down his post immediately even though he already called out the content creator. He also pointed out that there should be corrected in this kind of situation.

Mon also believed that Jacinto was not sincere when he apologized. “Sinabihan mo pa ako ng “is this a threat”? Hindi mo pa din ito tinanggal hanggang kinabukasan ng gabi.  Oo. Nagpublic apology ka kunwari later on pero sarcastic at hindi sincere,” the actor shared.

He also said that there was no hint of regret in Jacinto and he was allegedly proud of what he did. Although the content creator said that it was a “copypasta” meme, which is a block of text copied and pasted to provoke reactions from those who have no idea at all, Mon Confiado said that this should be regarded as a bad joke only.

Ileiad or Jeff Jacinto has deactivated his social media page, as of this writing, and the media entity is still waiting for his response regarding this matter.
