Former Pres. Duterte Reacts To Freeze Order on Assets of Pastor Quiboloy amid Pending Arrest
DUTERTE – The Philippine former President reacted on the freeze order issued on the assets of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Currently, there are several high-profile individuals with arrest orders but have yet to be located by the authorities. One of them is Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who is faced with several complaints.
An arrest order was issued against the Pastor, a founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ or KOJC, after he snubbed the hearing set by the Senate. For around five (5) months now since the arrest order was released, the Pastor has yet to be located.
Previously, Kabataan Party-List Representative Raoul Manuel slammed the Philippine National Police (PNP) for high-profile personalities with arrest orders being at large. He contrasted the implementation of the arrest orders among high-profile personalities and regular individuals.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) denied the statement of Manuel. Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos stressed that it is not that way after the Kabataan Party-List Representative said that it is easy for the police to arrest ordinary individuals and hard when it comes to high-profile personalities.
The DILG previously announced a Php 10 million reward for information that could lead to Quiboloy’s whereabouts. There were rumors that he’s in Davao City and someone powerful is keeping him into hiding.
Only the co-accused of Quiboloy was arrested by the authorities in Davao City. Recently, a freeze order was issued on the assets of the Pastor.
Philippine former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte reacted on the freeze order on the assets of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. He is the administrative officer of the properties of the KOJC which is led by the Pastor.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, in an interview with ANC, former Pres. Duterte tagged the freeze order on Quiboloy’s assets as wrong. He emphasized that his assets does not involve public funds and there are no complaints of misuse.
“Sabihin ko sa’yo, without criticizing… Mali ‘yan! It does not involve public funds. There is no allegation of misuse,” the former President said.
It is no secret to the public that Duterte and Quiboloy are good friends. Pastor Quiboloy has even gifted him a house as a gift.
