Pres. Duterte Receives “House” Gift from Pastor Apollo Quiboloy

DUTERTE – Philippine Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte revealed that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy gave him a house as a gift and they have a deal on it.

One of the richest religious leaders in the Philippines is Pastor Apollo Quiboloy who claims that he is the appointed son of God. He leads the church, Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and he also claims that he is the owner of the universe.

The claims of the Pastor received different reactions from the public. Undeniably, there are a lot of people who are non-believers of his claims while there are also those who look up to him.

Pastor Quiboloy has several friends who are popular personalities in the different fields. One of his friends in politics is President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. They’ve known each other and are good friends since he was the mayor of Davao City.

Pres. Duterte has previously admitted that Pastor Quiboloy’s giving him gifts. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, when he was still a Davao City Mayor, the Pastor gave him a house as a gift.

Speaking at SMNI, the Chief Executive is planning to stay in the house given to him by the Pastor after he steps down as president in 2022 as his term ends. Based on the report, they have an agreement over the said property given as a gift.

Pres. Duterte shared that Pastor Quiboloy has brought him to the house but it is not yet technically his as they have a deal. According to him, he will only live in the said residential property after he retires from politics. The President expressed that the gifts from his close friend even led to allegations of graft against him.

The Pastor stressed that he gave him gifts out of their friendship and he was doing a good job as the Davao City Mayor then. He also stressed that the now-Chief Executive does not think of himself.

The President is planning to retire from politics in 2022. There are speculations that he might run for vice president but he is vocal that he wants to go home to Davao after his term as president ends.
