ABS-CBN artist Julia Montes wins Best Actress at EDDYS for ‘Five Breakups and a Romance’ and here’s her acceptance speech.

One of the big winners of the 7th The Eddys awards by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors is actress Julia Montes. She won the Best Actress award for the film Five Breakups and a Romance, produced by GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios, and Myriad Entertainment.

She tied with actress Charlie Dizon who won the award for the film Third World Romance. Montes was also awarded the Box Office Heroes Award with other actors such as Alden Richards, Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Kathryn Bernardo, and Piolo Pascual.

In her acceptance speech, she thanked all the people who have played crucial role in her success as an actress. She thanked the people who encouraged her and believed in her, especially in doing the film that made her won the Best Actress award.

“Wala pa akong masabi kundi maraming-maraming salamat. Kung alam inyo lang po, ako bilang nagtatrabaho po sa ating industriya, manominado pa lang po ay napakasarap na po sa pakiramdam. Pero itong ibinigay niyo pong parangal ngayon, sobra-sobrang nakaka-inspire pa po na lalo pa pong pagbutihan,” she expressed.

However, some noticed that she skipped thanking her rumored boyfriend Coco Martin who sent her a surprise ahead of this. She just mentioned her family whom she’s always grateful for. Is Coco part of this family?
