Nadine Lustre and Alden Richards to star in a series.
For the first time, Nadine Lustre and Alden Richards team up for a series to be streamed on a platform called “Love, Siargao.”
In a previous article, Kapuso star Alden Richards shared that the first half of his year is going to be busy with a lineup of projects. He will be playing as a surgeon in Code Grey, and he’s also gearing up for the second season of Stars on the Floor. He also mentioned doing an upcoming drama for a streaming platform.
Recently, it has been announced that he and Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre are going to work together for a series called “Love, Siargao,” which will be streamed in Viu. This is set to be released in the second quarter of the year.
Lustre and Richards’ team-up was announced by Viu Philippines in a press statement, and they will be joined by Choi Bo-min, a South Korean actor and former member of the K-pop group Golden Child.
The series is going to have 26 episodes that will tell the story of Jao (Richards) and Kara (Lustre), hit by the “Siargao curse.” This is a local myth that forbids visitors from ever leaving the island, or else be cursed to “lose their heart to love.”
Apart from their story, this is also going to be a love letter to the famous island, as it will highlight its “breathtaking beaches, vibrant food scene, unique Filipino experiences, and the warmth of Filipino culture.”
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Richards was paired with a Kapamilya leading lady. He was paired with Julia Montes for a film, which earned success, and with Kathryn Bernardo in two films that earned record-breaking success.
As for Nadine, this is her first confirmed project after doing “Call Me Mother” with Vice Ganda, which is a top grosser in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025.
