Atong Ang On Manhunt After Arrest Warrant, Businessman Still In PH

Manhunt on for Atong Ang while 17 others were arrested.

Authorities are actively searching for Atong Ang following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest related to the missing sabungeros case.

Businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang and several others are facing arrest warrants related to the case of the missing sabungeros. faces kidnapping with homicide and kidnapping cases before three Regional Trial Courts: Lipa City in Batangas and Sta. Cruz and San Pablo in Laguna and has no bail.

Regional Trial Court Branch 26 in Sta. Cruz, Laguna has issued the arrest warrants dated January 13 and 17 for non-bailable cases of homicide, kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

Police Lt. Col. Ryan Jay Orapa; Executive M/Sgt. Aaron Cabillan; Senior M/Sgts. Mark Anthony Aguilo Manrique, Anderson Abary and Joey Encarnacion, alias Enca; M/Sgts. Michael Claveria, also known as Mike Claveria, and Renan Fulgencio; S/Sgts. Edmon Muñoz and Alfredo Andres and Cpl. Farvy de la Cruz were already arrested.

Ang’s supposed subordinates Rogelio Borican Jr., Jezrel Mahilum, Mark Carlo Zabala, Rodelo Anig-ig, Emman Falle, Julios Gumolon and Ronquillo Pacot Anding were also arrested already.

However, as of this writing, Ang is still not arrested, and a manhunt has been launched for Ang. According to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Ang is still in the Philippines, as he has no records of recent travel outside the country. The CIDG also believes that Ang is still within the country.

“They (BI) haven’t passed us flight details that he exited the country, so we are hoping he is still here,” Col. John Guiagui, CIDG NCR director, said. BI Spokesperson Dana Sandoval, meanwhile, said, “Upon verification of our records, he [Ang] has no recent travel.”

He has been in the bureau’s Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO), which means he is under monitoring, but his movements can’t be blocked.
