ALICE GUO – Find out why suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo skipped the Senate panel’s POGO probe.

Suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo will not be attending the Senate panel on women’s hearing regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (Pogos) on Wednesday. The Senate panel’s official guest list confirmed that the embattled mayor would be absent from the investigation.

Alice Guo has faced scrutiny following the Senate committee on women’s revelation of her alleged connections to Zun Yuan Technology Inc., an illegal Pogo operation in Bamban. However, Guo has consistently denied all accusations, including claims that she is a Chinese spy.

Previously, the Office of the Ombudsman placed Guo under a six-month preventive suspension without pay due to her alleged involvement in Pogo activities, raising questions about her citizenship.

Additionally, a non-bailable charge of qualified human trafficking was filed against Guo with the Department of Justice, linked to her alleged involvement with illegal POGOs. Reports indicate that Guo has been suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman due to her alleged connections with a POGO in her municipality.

She is currently at the center of a Senate investigation, with multiple documents revealing her involvement in processing paperwork for POGO operations.

“Alice Guo might be Guo Hua Ping, who entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003, when she was 13 years old,” Gatchalian informed reporters.

Documents from the Guo family’s Special Investors Resident Visa (SIRV) application show that Guo Hua Ping was born on August 31, 1990. The documents also list her mother as Lin Wen Yi and confirm that she entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003, at 13 years old.
