James Reid Finds Direction: ‘Not Lost Anymore’ in His Current Life

JAMES REID – Filipino-Australian actor and singer James Reid reflects on his journey to feeling ‘Not Lost Anymore’.

James Reid responded to Boy Abunda’s inquiry about his current life by saying, “Well, not lost. Not lost anymore.” During the latest episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, James engaged in a conversation with the seasoned TV host.

The Fil-Aussie actor expressed contentment with the direction of his career, emphasizing the balance he has achieved between work and lifestyle. He mentioned his satisfaction in finding what truly makes him happy after exploring various avenues, managing his career independently, and experimenting with music and films.

James said, “I think after exploring so many different things, after going through different management, doing films, and going independent, trying music, I think I found really what makes me happy and found that balance of my career and my lifestyle. I feel like music really helps me open up.”

He attributed writing music as a significant outlet for his emotions, citing the example of his song “Hurt Me Too,” which he wrote three years ago. He also hinted at more upcoming releases.

“The process of writing music, you know, letting your emotions out and dealing with it has been very helpful for me. It started with the latest music I released ‘Hurt Me Too.’ I wrote that actually three years ago. I’ve written a whole bunch of songs that are about to be released,” said James.

Reflecting on his journey as an artist, James Reid highlighted the importance of staying true to his beliefs and trusting his instincts amidst differing opinions and changing circumstances. “I think for me it was really stick to what I believe in. I’ve met so many different people with different ways of doing things. For me, just sticking to what I believe in and doing things that I feel the right way and trusting myself and my instincts.

“You know, sometimes the whole world around you would change and people would say, ‘No, you shouldn’t be like this,’ ‘Dapat ganyan,’ ‘Go back to this.’ At first, it might seem like things are falling apart but you give it time, and when you stick to it it will make sense,” he added.

Regarding his future plans, James expressed his intention to return to acting and his openness to collaborating with GMA.
