Ogie Diaz Has This Intriguing Rumor About FAMAS

Ogie Diaz reacted to the controversy that happened at the FAMAS

Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz has this intriguing rumor about the recently concluded Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards.

The awards night happened on Sunday, May 26. This has been one of the most prestigious award-giving ceremonies in the Philippines. However, the recent ceremony became controversial.

It is because the son of veteran actress Eva Darren slammed the award-giving body for allegedly ignoring his mom.

Eva was supposed to be one of the award presenters. She prepared for it and even paid for her and her three grandchildren’s seating plates for P5,000 each. However, when it was her time to go up on stage to present an award, her supposed partner for that stint, Tirso Cruz III came up on stage with a younger singer.

FAMAS apologized for this issue saying that the organizers weren’t able to locate Eva’s seat and so she was immediately replaced. This statement from the award-giving body did not sit well with many people, including Ogie Diaz.

Through his Facebook post, the talent manager-vlogger slammed the reason that FAMAS gave regarding the incident.

Sorry for my word, put—- ina naman, sa tanda naman ni Ms. Eva, saan naman kaya siya pupunta? Nagte-table hopping ba siya? Nagyosi sa backstage? Nag-jog sa Quirino Grandstand? Namamasyal sa Luneta?” Ogie said.

With that reason, Ogie said, “Mga palaka kayo!” Then, as a showbiz insider as well, Ogie shared what his source said about some of the award recipients who were allegedly unworthy of the recognitions.

Samantalang me nakapasabi sa akin (kayo nang mga taga-riyan ang sumagot kung true), binigyan nyo ng award ang ilang hindi naman karapat-dapat magka-award porke nag-sponsor lang nang malaki. True ba?” he said.

Ogie Diaz also slammed FAMAS for disturbing the veteran and well-respected actress and she was just disrespected during the awards night. “Iba talaga ang tinitingnan sa tinititigan,” the talent manager-vlogger stressed.
