Claudine Barretto shared this video with her former sitcom co-stars
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto and the Home Along Da Riles cast members had their “Asoka challenge” entry and this went viral.
Home Along Da Riles is the title of the sitcom led by the Comedy King Dolphy which premiered in 1993 and ran until 2003. This show has become part of many Filipinos’ lives and an integral part of Pinoy pop culture.
Since the cast members had been together for many years, they created a strong bond between them.
In a recent Instagram post, Claudine Barretto shared a video showcasing her entry for the Asoka makeup challenge with her Home Along Da Riles co-stars. “ASOKA along Da Riles with a SURPRISE,” the Optimum Star wrote in the caption of her post.
Included in the video were Nova Villa, Smokey Manaloto, Gio Alvarez, Vandolph Quizon, Jenny Quizon, Boy 2 Quizon, Maybelyn dela Cruz, and the apparent surprise appearance of Cita Astals who caught the attention of netizens last March.
Rumors circulated that Cita became homeless but she denied this. A photo of her taken back in 2009 circulated and this created speculations that she was suffering from extreme poverty. She also denied that she is struggling financially. The former actress-politician said that she is living modestly.
In the video that Claudine shared for their Asoka challenge entry, they highlight Cita, as well as Nova. As of this writing, the video has already reached almost 150 thousand views and over 11 thousand likes.
Other celebrities commented with hearts on this post that the Optimum Star shared. Netizens, especially fans of Home Along Da Riles expressed happiness to see the cast of the hit 90s sitcom.
