Teddy Corpuz stressed that there is no need to make shows fight each other
Band vocalist-TV host Teddy Corpuz slammed the bashers of their Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.
Teddy has been one of the hosts of the noontime show for many years already. On April 6, it was official that the Kapamilya noontime show has become part of the daily line-up of shows on the Kapuso network.
This made fans of It’s Showtime excited as it is expected that explosives segments will be introduced. They received full support from the management of GMA and many Kapuso stars.
However, some people expressed negative reactions. Based on the article in Balita, Teddy Corpuz answered the bashers who spread hate between noontime shows.
He pointed out that people can support whatever show they want and there is no need to see the two shows fight against each other. The Rocksteady vocalist admitted that there is indeed competition that negativity should not be brought out of this because they shared the same goal and it is to provide joy to their audience.
“Yung pinag aaway nyo kami, pero bakit di nalang tangkilikin parehas? Yes may competition… minsan talo, minsan panalo. Parehong gumagawa at nag nanais mapasaya kayo,” the Kapamilya host said in his post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on April 7.
Teddy also said that if there are people who are not happy of their show, then, they could just watch the show they like. “Kung di ka masaya sa isa, eh di dun ka sa kabila at wag ka na lang manira. Focus ka sa tv mo at wag sa tv ng kalaban mo,” he said.
This received support from the online community. Some said that Teddy Corpuz addressed the issue rightfully while some congratulated It’s Showtime for the new milestone.
