Teddy Corpuz Discusses Rocksteady’s Alleged Disbandment
TEDDY CORPUZ – Rockstar Teddy Corpuz expressed his stand regarding Rocksteady’s alleged disbandment.
It’s Showtime regular host, actor and comedian Teddy Corpuz is the frontman of the famous Filipino rock band Rocksteady.
Aside from hosting and singing, he starred on several films including The Breakup Playlist, Bulong, and Isnats.
Teddy Corpuz is the lead star of the 2019 comedy film “Papa Pogi.” The cast of the film include Myrtle Sarrosa, Donna Cariaga, and Lassy among others.
The rock star got his biggest break as an actor in this movie and this will surely entertain a lot of people.
In one of the recent episode of Tonight With Boy Abunda, Teddy Corpuz revealed something about the rumored disbandment of Rocksteady.
The comedian shared the story behind those speculations with the talk show host Boy Abunda.
The King of Talk asked Teddy Corpuz about the rumored separation of their band last year 2018.
The actor explained that he’s the only one who writes the lyrics of their songs which made him realized that he’s carrying a great responsibility.
“I realized paano kung kunwari pagod na ako or gusto ko magpahinga…paano yun? Edi galit kayo sa akin wala tayong Rocksteddy, he said.
Teddy Corpuz said that most of his bandmates financially relying on the income of their band while he’s in the show business.
“Kung may gig kami may pera kami. Pag wala kaming gig, wala sinalng pera… Eh ako meron ako ibang raket”
“Parang hindi nila ma-gets yung point na hinihingi ko na gusto kong magpahinga,” he added.
Teddy confessed that he and his bandmates are still trying to figure out what to do. He further added based on a video that he encouraged them to earn money by using their band’s name.
“Recently, nagkaroon kami ng pag manage ng Rocksteddy merchandise. Pinaubaya ko nay un sa mg aka-bandmates ko… Extra earnings for us, for them”
“Para at least ma feel din nila nap ag wala kaming gig, may pagkakakitaan rin sila,” he added.
