Cielo Austria, a Facebook user, shared her unique experience, after being comforted by a Joyride rider during her darkest hour. The post quickly circulated on social media and garnered various reactions online.
In her post, Austria recounted her journey with Kuya Rommel, a rider from the Joyride Superapp, as she headed to work one night. Overwhelmed by life’s obligations, she gets emotional and bursts into tears during the ride.
Unaware of how visibly upset she was due to wearing earbuds. The rider stopped and kindly checked in on her. Despite being strangers, he comforted her, assuring her that sharing her burdens would lighten her load.
Kuya Rommel addressed Cielo by name and asked for her permission to pray for her. As they continued their journey, he prayed for her. His sincerity touched Cielo deeply, and she felt a sense of peace wash over her.

“Thank you, Kuya Rommel of JoyRide Superapp .
On my way to work last night I booked a Joyride ride and Kuya Rommel was my rider.
Overwhelmed with obligations in life, naiyak nalang ako habang bumabyahe kami.
I didn’t notice I was sobbing that hard kasi I had my earbuds on until Kuya Rommel stopped on the sidewalk and asked: “Mam,okay ka lang?”
“Anong problema mo,Mam?”
Non- verbatim “Kahit di tayo magkakilala Mam, labas nyo lang sama ng loob nyo. Makakagaan yan.”
“GUSTO MO PAKILALA KITA KAY JESUS CHRIST?”
He tried his best to comfort me.
“Cielo,pangalan nyo maam noh? Pagppray kita,okay lang? Makinig ka lang,maam.”
Then he prayed over me while driving.
His concern was so pure and genuine.
Hanggang sa makababa ako, he even tap me sa shoulders to calm me down.
Maraming salamat po,Kuya Rommel.
