Vina Morales talked about her experience working with Robin Padilla
Seasoned actress-singer Vina Morales revealed why actor-politician Robin Padilla is her favorite leading man.
Vina has been in the industry for many years. She started her career at a young age and continues to do movie and TV projects, until now. Aside from this, she also had big projects when it came to her career in music.
Just recently, it was announced that Vina will replace Broadway Diva Lea Salonga in her role in the musical Here Lies Love. With her experience in acting and music, this will be another milestone in her career.
Vina Morales has worked with so many stars over the years. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, she was asked about her favorite leading man. “Well, siguro sa sobrang dami na naming pelikula together, siguro kay Robin [Padilla].
They worked together in the movies “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum” (1991), “Miss na Miss Kita” (1992), and “‘Di Puwedeng Hindi Puwede” (1999).
The actress quipped, “Para na lang ano sa lahat. Mamaya kasi sabihin ko si Senator Bong [Revilla]. Tapos sasabihin naman ni Senator Jinggoy [Estrada] bakit naman si ano. So, kay Robin na lang.”
Vina also shared what it was like working with Robin. She said that the actor-politician was really taking care of her on the set of their projects. Years after working together in several movies, they remained friends.
“Maasikaso sa set. Mabait naman talaga si Robin. Until now, we’re really good friends. Wala naman kaming naging problema sa shooting days namin. Thankful ako na marami kaming nagawang movies together,” the actress-singer shared.
Vina and Robin were more than just onscreen partners, they were also ex-lovers. The actress thought that the viewers loved their chemistry onscreen and this was the reason why their projects were successful.
