Is it true that Joey de Leon “umiinit ang ulo?”
A rumor surfaced about Henyo Master Joey de Leon and it was about his alleged attitude in the Eat Bulaga studio.
Joey is one of the most veteran comedians in the Philippine entertainment industry. He is known for his wordplay, classic jokes, and punchlines. For many years, he has provided laughter to his audience through his shows and movies.
Regularly, Joey’s comic side is displayed in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga which is currently airing on TV5.
However, Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment writer Salve Asis said rumors have been circulating that Joey de Leon has become irritable these days on the set of their noontime show.
It was said that the alleged irritation that Joey feels was because of the adjusting he is doing as a producer of the show. Asis shared that there were rumors that Joey, along with Tito and Vic Sotto, has become hands-on, including the finances of Eat Bulaga.
“Tulad daw kasi sa ibang negosyo, sa simula talagang kailangan mo munang mag-shell out para sa mga gastusin ng program,” the entertainment writer shared.
Asis added that even though the noontime show has a lot of commercial loads, its expenses are still high. “At totoo rin ba na minsan, nagkakaroon sila ng disagreements ni Vic Sotto dahil sa issue ng pera? Mas sanay raw kasi si tito Joey na tumanggap kesa maglabas ng datung?” the columnist asked.
As of this writing, Joey and the Eat Bulaga management have not spoken yet about this issue.
Meanwhile, Joey de Leon said that he does not want TVJ to be hailed as National Artist. For him, the term FUNCTION ALL ARTISTS is more appropriate because they were able to air on different TV networks in over 4 decades of their show’s existence.
