This theme park in Singapore is the one and only Universal Studios theme park in the Southeast Asia. This is your ultimate theme park destination where movies come to life and the rides will surely give you that intense adrenaline rush.
This place just simply promises endless fun for the people. The adventure never ends!
The theme park has six zones and across these six zones are 24 distinct rides and attractions.
The 6 zones are:
- Hollywood where you can strut your way down the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard and be face-to-face with some of your favorite characters from blockbuster films.
- New York zone is the zone that will give you the feels of what it’s like being in the Big Apple and the energy of NYC just like it is in the movies.
- Sci-Fi City is your futuristic zone where people of all ages can enjoy action-packed activities. This is also the zone where you can ride the heart-pumping ones like TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D battle and Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON.
- Ancient Egypt is the zone where you can experience what it’s like in the 1920s. You will be exploring ancient obelisks, riddles of the Sphinx, and the curse-ridden rides.
- The Lost World zone is where you will experience walking with dinosaurs and being in the Jurassic Park. This is where you can also find WaterWorld’s sensational water show where death-defying stunts are shown.
- Far Far Away is the dream come true of those who dreams to be in a castle, be with green ogres, talk to a talking donkey, and magic potions.
The best rides to try are:
- Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON in the Sci-Fi City zone
- Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase in the New York zone
- Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey in the Far Far Away zone
- Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure in the The Lost World zone
- TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle in the Sci-Fi City zone
- Revenge of the Mummy in the Ancient Egypt zone
- Shrek 4-D Adventure in the Far Far Away zone
- Canopy Flyer in the The Lost World zone
- Dino-Soarin’ in The Lost World zone
- Enchanted Airways in the Far Far Away zone
- Lights, Camera, Action! in the Far Far Away zone
New zones are also scheduled to open this 2024. The first one is Minion Land. The construction started in May 2022 and it is reported that there will be a 3D ride like the ‘Minions Hachamecha Ride’ in Universal Studios Japan.
The other one is the Super Nintendo World. This zone opened in 2021 in Universal Studios Japan and will be completed in 2025. It is expected to have Mario Kart-themed attractions inside.
