Iza Calzado talked about being a wife and a mother
Actress Iza Calzado revealed the relationship that she has now with her husband Ben Wintle after having their baby Deia.
Aside from being an actress, Iza plays two very important roles behind the camera now. She is a wife and a mother now. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actress shared updates on her personal life.
She said that their relationship is stronger now than before even though there are times that they would clash with other. This is because they now have Deia.
“It all goes back to what is best for Deia. So even if we don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, nagkakainisan… well ako, kalmadong-kalmado ‘yung asawa ko lagi,” the actress said.
Iza Calzado also shared that she and her husband would still manage to have their dates and their bonding moments. On the other hand, she admitted that she is still adjusting as a first-time mom.
The actress knows that even though she wants to be there all the time, having little is not allowing this to happen. With this, she stressed that it is important to permit herself not to do everything because she might just crumble. Iza said that there is nothing wrong in asking for help in raising a child.
The actress admitted that she has a little expectation when it comes to motherhood. Her standard in this is not too high because she was not expecting that she would enjoy this aspect of her life.
“There are a lot of moments where I’m tough on myself, pero ‘di ako nagd-dwell on them,” she said. Iza Calzado describes herself as a grateful mom and wants to be a mother who enjoys simple things.
