Luis Manzano Recommends These Artists To Host “Pilipinas Got Talent”

In an interview, Luis Manzano confirmed that he will not be hosting the reality show.

Kapamilya host Luiz Manzano is not hosting the “Pilipinas Got Talent” and he thinks that these male personalities can take his place.

Last December 2023, the lineup of shows and programs for ABS-CBN this 2024 has been revealed. There was no definite date as to when these will air but a list has been released.

The initial line-up of ABS-CBN 2024 shows are:

It is also reported that one of its reality shows is slated to come back this year and this is “Pilipinas Got Talent”, this is the PH franchise of the international talent reality show. This show premiered in 2010 and since then, it already produced six seasons.

The familiar face who have hosted this show for five seasons is Luis Manzano, one of the most in demand in the industry in terms of hosting. His personality and hosting talent added fun in every show he’s in.

However, in this year’s PGT, he will not be the one hosting. This is something he confirmed in an interview. He said that he has already resigned and he felt like he should pass the baton to the new generation of male hosts.

When asked who he is recommending, he mentioned four male personalities – Robi Domingo, Donny Pangilinan, Edward Barber, and Enchong Dee.

“Nakikita ko, puwede na, puwedeng si Robi, si Donny, si Edward, si Enchong, napakarami. It’s about time na ibigay na yung mga ganung shows,” he was also asked what can change his mind and he answered, “Sampalin ako ng pera.”

From here, he wanted to veer away his hosting career from reality shows as he now wants to host his own game show. An example for that is his show “It’s Your Lucky Day”. This was the program that replaced “It’s Showtime” when it faced a two-week suspension.

He expressed, “Whatever we did sa It’s Your Lucky Day, na original game show, ang nananalo yung mga taong bayan, ang mga ka-Lucky. Yun ang gusto kong magtuluy-tuloy for 2024.”

Manzano is also looking forward to doing a project with his mother Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos. He shared that there’s an “usap-usapan” for a sitcom but this is not certain yet.
