In an interview, Janella Salvador has these confessions about her trauma and how it is affecting her life.
JANELLA SALVADOR – The Kapamilya actress revealed how her past trauma has affected her relationship with Markus Paterson.
Last September 2022, what ended the split rumors involving celebrities Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson was the actress’ candid remarks. Based on a previous article, Janella called herself a single mother which put an end to the rumors.
However, despite their separation, they remained civil and are actually co-parenting their son Jude.
In a recent interview with Karen Davila, the actress opened up about her trauma. Janella has a trauma that was caused by her experiences from a past relationship. She was physically abused and this has taken a toll on her relationship with her son’s father.
This was one of the reasons why she and Markus did not work out despite having a son together. He did not hurt her but she has said before that he has some drinking problems and this was triggering her trauma.
In the interview, she shared that she doesn’t get anxious being around drunk people. What’s triggering her trauma is being with a partner who goes out drinking and comes home really drunk.
She did not elaborate on what she has experienced but every time this happens, she often finds herself shaking from fear and really anxious about what going to happen. She always has this fear that whenever this happens, something bad is going to follow.
“But if it is my partner, that comes home drunk… Ay grabe ‘yung anxiety ko. Nanginginig talaga ako. Even when it was with Marcus. Nanginginig ako mag-isa ‘pag alam kong umiinom na sa labas ta’s alam kong uuwing lasing. Nanginginig ako, ta’s my tummy’s really turning,” she said.
Then added, “Kasi I feel like something bad is about to happen when someone drunk comes home. Parang ‘yun ang naging trauma sa akin.”
And before she could even get into that cycle again, she ended it.
