Fans of Coco Martin and Alden Richards will truly love this collaboration
Coco has done several movies for the MMFF throughout his acting career. Alden’s first MMFF movie was in 2015. It was the movie My Bebe Love with his former loveteam Maine Mendoza.
This year, Alden also has an MMFF entry with Megastar Sharon Cuneta, the Family of Two. Coco has no entry this year for the yearend film festival but he had last year, the movie Labyu with an Accent with Jodi Sta Maria.
During a recent episode of the YouTube talk show Marites University, based on the article in Balita, it was mentioned that Alden Richards and Coco Martin will have a movie collaboration next year.
Showbiz insider Rose Garcia shared what she and the Asia’s Multimedia Star talked about during the recent press conference for his movie with the Megastar. “Nagkakaroon siya [Alden] ng chance na makausap si Coco at saka si Julia (Montes). And, ayun na nga, nai-reveal na ni Alden na baka sa susunod na film fest o MMFF, mag-collab sila [Coco],” the showbiz insider shared.
Alden and Julia did the movie Five Breakups and a Romance, which already earned ₱72M in cinemas. The friendship between them bloomed from that project. Garcia also mentioned during that episode of their show that Alden will have a new movie with Heaven Peralejo. This will be the actor’s directorial debut.
With this, it was inevitable that Alden would be asked if he was following Coco’s track in showbiz. The Kapamilya actor has started directing the scenes in his previous Kapamilya series Ang Probinsyano.
“So, parang tinanong nga siya, ano ba ‘to parang pattern din ba ng Coco Martin? Sabi niya, ‘naku, alam naman natin Coco Martin ‘yan’. He has high respect,” Garcia shared the conversation she had with Alden Richards.
