Katrina Halili talked about the connection that she has to John Lloyd Cruz
Kapuso actress Katrina Halili made a revelation about her closeness with A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz.
To recall, back in 2021, Katrina and John Lloyd were first spotted together in Palawan. With this, relationship rumors surfaced. When the actor broke his silence on the rumors linking him to Katrina, he said that the actress is basically “family.” The actress shared photos of her with the actor on her Instagram page.
When the actress spoke about the relationship rumors, she also said that John Lloyd is like a “kapatid” to her.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Katrina Halili elaborated on how her friendship with John Lloyd Cruz. She shared that they started becoming close amid the pandemic in 2021.
The actress also shared that the actor bought a piece of land from her mother in Palawan and basically, they are neighbors. Her mother treats the actor like a son. “Tapos yung brother ko, parang kapatid na rin siya,” saad ng Kapuso actress,” she shared.
This is the reason why Katrina can really say that John Lloyd is her friend. When asked how was the actor behind the camera, the actress said that he is really simple and there is no sugarcoating in his personality.
“What you see is what you get,” she added. Katrina also said that John Lloyd is not like the superstar you see onscreen when he is not in front of the camera. “Wala siyang pakialam. ‘Tao ako. Tao ka din pareho lang tayo,’ ganon siya. Sobrang simple,” she enthused.
Katrina added that she and John Lloyd were not the ones who got close but their families as well. She said that when the actor is in Palawan with his family and she and her family are there as well, they would bond together. They would more often meet in Palawan than in Manila.
