Here’s what John Lloyd Cruz said about Katrina Halili
A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz has broken his silence on his rumored relationship with Kapuso actress Katrina Halili.
The rumors linking John Lloyd and Katrina romantically started to circulate when they were spotted together in Palawan. Just recently, the actress shared several photos showing that she was there when the actor celebrated his 38th birthday.
Katrina even shared her photos with Elias, the son of Lloydie with his former partner Ellen Adarna. With this, speculations hyped up regarding the real score between John Lloyd Cruz and Katrina Halili.
However, reports surfaced that they are just friends and that the actor bought a property that was previously owned by Katrina in Palawan. There were also rumors that surfaced saying that the current boyfriend of the actress is a friend of the A-list actor which is allegedly the explanation why they were spotted together several times already.
In line with this issue, entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula wrote in his article in Pilipino Star Ngayon that his fellow writer Joe Barrameda texted John Lloyd to ask about this.
“Tinanong ni Kuya Joebarr si Lloydie tungkol dito. Ang sagot ng aktor; ‘Katrina si basically family. Walang basehan yan kuya jo,’” Rula shared in his writeup. The columnist also sent a message to the Kapuso actress to ask about this issue. However, Katrina has not answered it yet.
On the other hand, Rula said that when the actress was asked about the rumors that she is now in a relationship and the guy was with her in Palawan, she said that her companion there was her family.
