Melanie Marquez will once again show full support for Michelle Dee. The Miss Universe 2023 pageant is set to happen on November 18 (November 19 in the Philippines) at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in El Salvador.
On November 14, Melanie flew to the said country in the Latin America. In an interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the seasoned showbiz personality admitted that she is feeling mixed emotions about the Miss Universe stint of her daughter.
With the excitement and nervousness that she is feeling, Melanie said that it is like that she is one competing.
“Kinakabahan ako sobra. Sabi ko, nae-excite ako na ‘di ko alam. Parang ako ‘yung sasali. Sabi ko, no’ng ako kandidata, ‘di ako kinabahan. Pero this time, parang sabi ko, stage mother ata ako talaga,” she said.
Melanie also shared how proud she is of Michelle. “I’m just so proud of her ’cause she really works so hard. Nakita ko talaga ‘yung sipag n’ya, ‘yung dedication n’ya, focus,” the seasoned showbiz personality said.
She added that she knows Michelle has her own style and she can’t tell her what to do but one thing she stressed to her was that she should be “relaxed and meditate through prayers.”
Melanie Marquez carried Philippine flags with her and she said that she will give this to Michelle Dee’s supporters who will watch the Miss Universe 2023 competition in El Salvador.
