Nowadays, the roads are becoming increasingly congested, and patience seems to be in short supply. As a result, incidents of road rage have become a concerning issue. Road rage is a dangerous and aggressive behavior that can have serious consequences for all road users.
It often includes acts of anger, aggression, or violence towards other drivers and can involve behaviors such as tailgating, aggressive gesturing, yelling, and even physical violence. These aggressive actions can lead to accidents, injuries, or even fatalities.
On Friday (October 13, 2023), the local police confirmed a tragic incident of alleged road rage or a heated dispute on the road has resulted in the death of a man in Manila.
According to the Manila Police District, the incident began when tensions ignited between the suspect, who was driving a trailer truck, and the victim, the driver of an aluminum van, on C-3 road in Navotas.
Upon reaching the vicinity of Smokey Mountain, the victim decided to exit his vehicle, likely in an attempt to address the situation with the truck driver. However, instead of de-escalating the tension, the truck driver allegedly ran over the victim, causing him serious injuries.
The injured victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his wounds.
The Manila Police District’s Homicide Division has taken custody of the suspect, who now faces a serious charge of murder.
