The candidates of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 will receive this amount.
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2024 – The official candidates will receive this amount from Sultan Kudarat governor and congresswoman.
Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu and Congresswoman Bai Rihan Mangudadatu Sakaluran will give each of the candidates of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Php 50,000.00 each. This is their way of showing their appreciation for them after the pageant held the national costume competition in Sultan Kudarat.
In a video circulating online, the candidates screamed in surprise and happiness after hearing this announcement from the governor of Sultan Kudarat.
According to Governor Mangudadatu, before the candidates head to Manila for the grand coronation night, they will be receiving the said amount. He said, “Maliit lang ito nais lang namin makapagbigay ng isa pang thank-you gift sa inyo. Nag-decide po kami na bawat isang kandidata… bibigyan po namin, maliit lang naman, Php 50,000.00.”

Last April 28, the national costume competition of the beauty pageant was held at Sultan Kudarat Gymnasium and Cultural Center. 53 candidates competed against each other wearing their Flora and Fauna-themed costumes. Prior to this, MUPH also released the candidates’ headshot, swimsuit photos, and glam shots, “Her Story” videos, and tourism videos.
Janet Hammond of Southern California, Alexie Mae Brooks of Iloilo City, and Tamara Ocier of Tacloban were the top three winners of this competition. As winners, they will receive Php 100,000.00.
Meanwhile, one of the familiar faces is Ahtisa Manalo joining the MUPH 2024. Many people are rooting for her. Apart from her, other beauty pageant veterans joining the pageant are Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Miss Universe Philippines-Charity 2021), Kris Tiffany Janson (Miss Intercontinental 2014 2nd runner-up), Stacey Gabriel (Binibining Pilipinas 2022 2nd runner-up), and Christi McGarry (Miss Intercontinental 2015 1st runner-up).
The MUPH coronation night is set on May 22 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
