PAGASA Says Typhoon Jenny to Bring Rains and Gusty Conditions Over Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Typhoon Jenny will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (October 3, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Typhoon Jenny will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that Typhoon Jenny was located 350 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes. It has maximum sustained winds of 165 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 205 kph.

Jenny will bring rains with gusty winds over Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, and Ilocos Norte.

The typhoon’s trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

The southwest monsoon will bring similar weather conditions over Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley, Metro Manila, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of Calabarzon.

Typhoon Jenny and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.

Jenny is enhancing the southwest monsoon, which will bring gusty conditions over Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and most of Mimaropa and Western Visayas within the next three days.

The weather disturbance is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday morning or afternoon (October 5, 2023).

The weather agency has warned the public of possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over extreme Northern Luzon will be rough. The rest of Northern Luzon will have moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions while the remaining parts of the archipelago will have slight to moderate waters, according to PAGASA.
