In an interview, Vice Ganda was asked about Awra Briguela and sheds light on the issue of letting the young star go.
Comedian Awra Briguela has faced charges at the Makati Prosecutor’s Office after figuring in a brawl with another group of guests in a bar. Videos of the incident have gone viral.
Awra faced charges of physical injuries, alarm and scandal, disobedience to authority, and direct assault.
The comedian lost projects and was released from police custody after posting bail last July 1. However, just recently, three more charges of light threats, grave coercion, and violation of the Safe Spaces Act were filed against him.
Despite the loud buzz from these issues, Awra remained silent. There were rumors surrounding them online about him being taken out of the management of Vice Ganda and the latter star has reacted to this.
In an exclusive interview with MJ Felipe, the Kapamilya superstar comedian spoke about the rumor and vehemently denied it. According to him, there’s no truth about him. Awra is still under his management and furthered that currently, Awra is not yet allowed to speak or release statements regarding the issue.
He aired that he doesn’t understand where the rumors have come from as no one has ever asked him about it. The comedian said, “There’s no truth doon sa issue na iniwan ko si Awra. Aalalayan ko si Awra sa journey na ito.”
Based on his statement in the interview, he will not let go of Awra and he will continue to guide him.

Meanwhile, the former child star hogged headlines following the brawl in Makati. Amid the issues, Xian Gaza released CCTV footage of the happenings that day which gave the people online a perspective of what has transpired.
