Some LGUs Announced Class Suspensions for Friday (August 4, 2023) Due to Enhanced Habagat
WALANG PASOK – Some local government units have declared class suspensions due to the enhanced southwest monsoon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the effects of the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy weather and rainy conditions over some parts of the country.
PAGASA reported that habagat will bring occasional rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan.
Cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Ilocos Region and Central Luzon.
The southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Falcon and Super Typhoon Egay are already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. However, the weather disturbances are still expected to bring rains and flooding in the affected areas.
On Friday (August 4, 2023), several areas announced class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition brought on by the enhanced southwest monsoon. The announcement has been made to ensure the safety of school personnel and students

- Pampanga – All levels in public and private schools
- Dagupan City – All levels in public and private schools, work in government offices
- Angeles City – All levels in public and private schools
