Jake Cuenca broke his silence on his relationship status with Chie Filomeno
Batang Quiapo actor Jake Cuenca spoke about the chapter in his life that has already ended.
Rumors have been circulating that Jake and Chie ended their relationship. Allegedly, the actress left the actor for businessman Matthew Lhuillier.
Last week, Chie shared a post on her Instagram Story telling the public not to drag the Lhuilliers into her private life. She did not directly mention what happened between her and Jake.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN, Jake Cuenca broke his silence. He said that the chapter of his life with Chie Filomeno has already ended, and he has accepted that.
“I’m good at least, parang it’s a lot to take, di ba? Andaming nangyayari andaming sinasabi ng mga tao. I can officially say that chapter of my life is over now,” he said.
The actor also said that he can honestly say that he loved that person deeply, and his respect for that person is still there.
Now, Jake said that he is focused on his career and that he has been busy working six times a week. He had multiple tapings for Kapamilya primetime action-drama series Batang Quiapo and for his upcoming series What Lies Beneath.
The actor admitted that it is challenging for him to do multiple roles for different projects, especially during a tough time for him, but somehow it helped him to continue.
“These past few months hasn’t been easy kasi I’ve been working six days a week. There’s no time to be Jake. It’s almost like uwi ako pahinga derecho sa taping,” Jake said.
Throughout it all, the actor said that he has been reminding himself of his worth. Amid what has happened to him, he said that he found strength and took it like a man.
Jake Cuenca said that he is incredibly proud of himself for handling the situation like a man, and he did not make it difficult. “I don’t want to add more gasoline to the fire,” the actor said.
After what happened, he can say that he is now a better version of himself.
