The seventh month of the lunar calendar is known as the Ghost Month. The dates change each year, but the ghost month will begin on July 29 and end on August 26 this year. The Chinese invented the practice of observing the ghost month.
According to Chinese legend, it is a time when the ghosts of their deceased ancestors and relatives visit the world of the living.
As a result, they avoid activities such as traveling, starting a business, or moving to a new place that may upset the spirits. Investments in new ventures and stocks are also postponed.

A Feng Shui expert gives several tips including the dos and don’ts during Ghost Month, which runs from July 29 to August 26.
Feng Shui is a Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing everyone with the surrounding environment, which could allegedly bring luck and wealth to a person.
Many Filipino have been believing in various different superstitious beliefs and Feng Shui advice over the previous decades. They are hoping to obtain luck and avoid negative vibes by following those rituals.
Feng Shui expert Hanz Cua has shared some dos and don’t’s during the so-called Ghost Month. Cua said that these tips can prevent bad luck and other unfortunate incidents during the Month of August.
Chinese experts said that July 29 to August 26 is considered as Ghost Month wherein it is the time when souls are released from the gates of hell and into the human realm. Performing some rituals can allegedly prevent bad omen.
The latter advised the public to perform ritual cleansing and to invite him for more tips and advice.
