One of these entities is the Landbank of the Philippines. From its funds, it assists deserving students under scholarship programs. This year, it launched the “Iskolar ng Bayan Landbank Program” which was crafted to assist the dependents of ARBs and small farmers and fishers who are high school graduates in their studies.
Who are qualified to apply for a Landbank scholarship? To be a scholar of the state bank, the student applicant must possess the following qualities:
- a Filipino citizen
- a child or grandchild of ARBs and small farmers and fishers who are high school graduates
- has a minimum average grade of 90%
The bank will be picking 60 scholars who will be assisted from 2023 to 2028 provided that they with the Memorandum of Agreement that will be set.
With regards to the Landbank scholarship benefits, each scholar under this program will receive a financial support of P100,000 annually from the government bank. The said amount is intended as allowance and assistance for the purchase of books, clothing, and other coure requirements.

According to an article posted by CHED, the scholarship offer of the bank may be limited to specific fields of study such as the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or other priority disciplines.
The Landbank has set a committee that reviews the applications for scholarship. The candidates for the scholarship may be invited for an interview to check their suitability to be scholars under the program.
