Meet Rocky, a Boxer Dog That Holds ‘Tongue-tastic’ Record in GWR
Guinness World Records (GWR) has introduced a dog from the United States of America (USA) who has been named the newest record holder for the title “longest tongue on a living dog.”
According to GWR, the tongue of Rocky, a 9-year-old male boxer dog, measures an impressive 13.88 cm (5.46 in) in length. “Rocky’s tongue was measured by a vet, as he was sedated as part of a regularly scheduled dental procedure,” stated GWR.
Rocky’s fur parents, Brad and Crystal Williams, shared that people have been noticing their fur baby’s unusually long tongue for quite some time now.
“When we walk Rocky, we often get told how extremely long his tongue is. We’re obviously used to it, but others are really surprised to see it,” the couple said.
Prior to Rocky, the previous record holder for the title was Zoey, a Labrador/German Shepherd mix from Louisiana, USA, whose tongue measured 12.7 cm in length.
The boxer dog’s unique physical attribute has brought him worldwide recognition and a place in the prestigious Guinness World Records. His extraordinarily long tongue has captivated the attention and amazement of people everywhere.
While Rocky’s record-breaking tongue may be seen as a novelty, it serves as a testament to the remarkable diversity and intriguing features found in the animal kingdom.
Guinness World Records continuously celebrates exceptional achievements and extraordinary talents, not only in humans but also in the animal world.
