PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (June 30, 2023)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that southwest monsoon will bring rain showers over some parts of the country.

On Friday (June 30, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that southwest monsoon will bring rain showers over the western section of Luzon. Weather specialist Benison Estareja said that habagat has further weakened.

Habagat will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and the northern portion of Palawan.

“Patuloy pa rin ng paghina ng habagat at nakaka apekto na lang ito sa western section ng Luzon. Kitang kita dito sa ating latest satellite animation yung makapal na ulap dito sa parteng Ilocos region hanggang Palawan,” said Estareja.

The southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the remaining parts of the country.

Humid weather conditions are expected over rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Central Luzon but chances of localized thunderstorms are expected.

The weather agency has warned the residents in the affected areas for possible flash floods and landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
