PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (June 27, 2023)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and ITCZ will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (June 27, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and intertropical convergence zone will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that LPA and ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain in several parts of the country.

A low-pressure area was spotted 260 km East of Infanta, Quezon. The ITCZ will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

“Nananatiling mababa ang tiyansa [ng LPA] na maging bagyo ngunit ngayong araw ay posible itong magdulot ng ulan sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

The ITCZ/LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will experience similar weather condition.

The ITCZ/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Visayas.

“Pag-iingat pa rin po sa ating mga kababayan sa posibilidad ng pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa,” said Castañeda.

The weather agency has warned the public of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau. No gale warning has been raised in any part of the country.
