Paolo Contis Reaction To Showtime Transferring To GMA GTV

This is what Paolo Contis said about the transfer of EB’s rival show Its Showtime.

PAOLO CONTIS – Kapuso actor-host Paolo Contis has this statement when asked about Its Showtime’s move to GTV of GMA.

The airing of Its Showtime on GMA’s GTV starting this July 1 is more of a business decision. This will also pave the way for the new show of TVJ on TV5. The announcement came as a big surprise to many people.

In a previous article, Showtime host Vice Ganda expressed that they don’t feel bad about TVJ. They are actually grateful to TV5 for opening their door for their show and remained grateful because there was another door opened for them after the first one closed.

He said, “Ngayon naman malinaw na sa lahat. Masaya kami na may nagsarang pinto, may bumukas ulit na isang pinto.”

And recently, in an interview, one of the new hosts of Eat Bulaga, Paolo Contis, expressed his reaction to this move of their show’s rival. According to him, this move is going to have healthy competition and will open more opportunities for celebrities to appear on their shows.

“This is a very big collaboration [ng Kapuso at ABS-CBN] kasi noontime show na ‘to. It opens up a lot of opportunities for other actors para makapag-guest doon [sa It’s Showtime] at the same time para makapag guest dito [sa Eat Bulaga],” he said.

According to him, it is going to be a healthy competition as they are just under one roof.

Meanwhile, the first GMA-ABS-CBN collaboration was the teleserye Unbreak My Heart. And Showtime being on GTV will give artists from GMA’s talent center Sparkle to appear in the show.

Showtime has been airing on TV5 at noon for a year already but their contract with the network expires on June 30.
