RR Enriquez shared her reaction to the viral video of Herlene Budol
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol went viral just recently because of how she answered the question during the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 media conference and this received a reaction from self-proclaimed “sawsawera queen” RR Enriquez.
Herlene’s pageant journey is not yet over. She is one of the official candidates for Miss Grand PH this year. After the sashing ceremony, a media conference took place to present the candidates and reporters had the chance to ask questions.
Herlene’s answer to the question to her went viral. It is because netizens and pageant fans thought that she gave a “dogshow” answer and for them, it was too informal or it was already inappropriate.
Because of this, Herlene Budol received criticism. Eventually, she apologized for the way she answered the question.
Based on the article in Newsko, RR Enriquez has this reaction to the viral interview video of the Kapuso actress. “I love Herlene.. I saw myself in her when I first started in showbiz…. We are both products of Wowowee. She is Jologs Squammy that’s why I can relate to her (kasi ganun na ganun din ako),” RR said.
However, RR said that Herlene should remember that she is in a different situation now even though she still wants to display her funny side. The former Wowowee dancer stressed that more than just a comedienne, Herlene is now a beauty queen.
Admittedly, RR said that she does not speak English well but she decided to address this matter by taking up lessons. “That’s why I enrolled in a one on one tutorial class, kasi sabi ko I can’t be forever bobita sa English,” she said, adding that she wants to shock people someday that she is already fluent in this language.
RR also shared that she also enrolled in a personality development course and she learned a lot from this like how to behave in certain events and how she would dress up. Growing up with a “Jologs or squammy” personality, RR said that it is inevitable that this will come out.
RR Enriquez stressed this point for Herlene Budol, “Women in pageant industry look up to her… Hindi nya dapat binabakya ang mga sagot nya sa ganyang events. Wala sya sa comedy bar.”
