Herlene Budol wants to achieve more
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol said that she still wants to join the beauty pageants despite having a successful acting career.
Herlene’s first pageant was in 2022 when she joined Binibining Pilipinas and got the first runner-up title. She was supposed to represent the Philippines in the Miss Planet International pageant in Uganda but this did not turn out well.
This year, Herlene continues her pageant journey as she is one of the candidates for Miss Grand Philippines.
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Herlene Budol is currently in Boracay for the swimsuit competition. Aside from the “kaba” that she feels for the pageant, Herlene Budol also has the same feeling for the premiere of her first TV series Magandang Dilag.
“Yung kaba na ‘yun, ‘yun ‘yung magpapapursigi pa sa ‘yo ng mas sobra-sobra dahil hindi ka nagiging petiks, hindi ka nagiging kalmado. Ibig sabihin, gigil ka sa lahat ng ginagawa mo,” she said.
She’s excited about her new series because she can assure the viewers that they will like it. Herlene also shared that her character Gigi Robles reflects her personality in her real life because they both love their families and they really both aspire to reach their goals.
Although she is establishing her career as an actress, Herlene said that she still wants to join pageants.
“Kahit anong marating ko sa buhay ko, titingala pa rin ako. Kahit gaano na ‘ko kataas, titingala pa rin ako. Ibig sabihin noon, every time na mayroon akong naa-achieve, nangangarap pa rin po ako,” the Kapuso actress said.
Meanwhile, during the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 sashing ceremony and media conference, Herlene Budol received criticism from the online community. For many netizens, it was already too much for her to give a “dogshow” answer to the question. Eventually, the Kapuso actress apologized for this.
