Aljur Abrenica is doing his best as a father
Actor Aljur Abrenica shared that he has this promise to himself and this is something to do with his sons, Alas and Axl.
Aljur has two sons with Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla. The estranged couple, as previous reports stated, have a good co-parenting relationship. There are times, the two kids spend time with Aljur.
Based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, the actor expressed excitement to celebrate Father’s Day on June 18.
However, as of the moment, Aljur Abrenica has no idea yet how to celebrate this special event with his kids. Amid his busy schedule in doing movies, he said that his sons are still his priority.
The actor stressed that he is really doing his best to fulfill his promise to himself to prioritize the two young boys in his life. Alas is now six years old while Axl is three.
His talent manager Leo Dominguez understands his choice to be a father first before being a showbiz personality.
“Totoo po ‘yan. I made a promise sa sarili ko na, sandali lang naman, eh. Kasi nasa (formative) years pa sila, one to seven? Alas just turned six, six na si Alas pala sa August, tapos ‘yung isa ko pang anak, three years old. So itong one to seven nila, I don’t wanna miss the opportunity na makita sila lagi, ‘yung time ko sa kanila, so ‘pag may mga project na nababangga, sinasakripisyo ko ‘yung trabaho,” the actor explained.
He also said that projects are blessings but he is sacrificing these opportunities in order to spend more time with his sons. However, the actor said that this will last until the kids become seven years old.
With this decision that he made, Aljur Abrenica can say that his kids are happy also. He realized that there is nothing regretful in spending his time with the two boys.
