When basketball player Ricci Rivero had this romantic proposal to actress Andrea Brillantes, this event made it to the headlines. He asked her to be his girlfriend after his game.
Their relationship lasted for over a year and their split was hounded with different allegations. There were rumors about a third party and the most recent is about the actress’ jealousy.
Here’s a timeline of their over-a-year relationship.
- In 2021, the actress took a “Jojowain o Totropahin” challenge where she tagged Rivero as “Totropahin”. Her reason back then was the usual reputation of basketball players. She argued, “Kasi ‘di ba ‘pag basketball player, manloloko daw.”
- In March 2022, they were spotted at a bar, and a video of Andrea wearing a UP Fighting Maroons jersey with the number 25 circulated online. It happens that Rivero’s jersey number was also 25.
- In April 2022, the proposal after Rivero’s basketball game happened. She said “Yes” to him right at that moment. Rivero brought two wins that night: a win from his basketball game and a “yes” from Brillantes.
- In September 2022, Rivero said in an interview that he was convinced Brillantes is “the one” for him.
