Ricci Rivero confirmed his breakup with Andrea Brillantes
Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes trended on social media on June 9 after basketball player Ricci Rivero shared a post confirming their breakup.
It is not the first time that the relationship between Andrea and Ricci became a trending topic online. The time when they became officially a couple, they were the talk of the town because Ricci asked Andrea to be his girlfriend during a basketball game.
Last March, they caught the attention of the online community also when Andrea asked Ricci to be her date at the Star Magic Ball. This happened during the Blackpink concert in Manila and the popular K-Pop group read Andrea’s banner.
On Friday, Andrea Brillantes once again trended on social media and it is because of her breakup with Ricci Rivero. The basketball player shared a tweet about this.
Ricci said that he is owning up to his mistake of not making his relationship public. Although he did not mention any name, he asked the public to respect their decision not to divulge this to the public, “so that we can preserve what’s left of our friendship.”
He also asked the public to refrain from creating speculations surrounding this matter. “I hope let’s stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations,” he said.
Then, Ricci Rivero apologized if he caused disappointment. “I am sorry for whatever disappointments it may have caused you – for everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain,” the basketball player said.
As of writing, Andrea Brillantes has not released a statement yet about this issue but her fans are showing support for her on social media.
