‘Eat Bulaga’ introduces new hosts and Paolo Contis has this clap back to the naysayers.
PAOLO CONTIS – ‘Eat Bulaga’ airs anew with a new set of hosts which included Paolo Contis and this is his reply to the bashers.
The noontime show “Eat Bulaga” has been on the air for 44 years. And all these years, three faces remained and that is the trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon. The three of them are considered pillars of the shows.
However, things went haywire when new management was introduced in the production company that produces the show. There have been conflicts as to the changes that both parties could not agree on.
After TVJ announced their departure, other hosts followed by submitting their resignation letters. And this Monday, the show went on with a new set of hosts.
The new hosts of the show are Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Alexa Miro, Cassy Legaspi, and Mavy Legaspi.
The fresh faces opened the show by performing the song “Best Day of My Life”. They also have a game where the prizes include cash and iPhone 14 for the audience. XOXO and Kokoy de Santos also joined as guest performers.
These new faces are a major change but for many, this major change did not sit well.
Some social media users expressed that they could use the opening song and even speak the terms and words TVJ used to say when they were still the hosts but they did not personify the term dabarkads. The original hosts were accordingly irreplaceable.
On May 31, TVJ announced they are leaving, and hosts Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Wally Bayola, Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K., and the remaining writers, sales and production personnel and cameramen followed.
With all the backlash online, Contis, one of the new hosts, has this clap back to someone who said that the new EB looks like a mall show and to the negative comments.
According to a report from PEP, he and the other hosts could not deny that they cannot reach what the old hosts have done but they can improve and be better. He even agrees that it looked like a mall show but they are just starting out. They have a lot of things to develop.
But despite these negative comments, they are happy with the come out of their first day. Their bosses were also happy. He said, “Masaya at very hopeful ang atmosphere sa studio. From the bosses, staff, crew, lalo sa studio audience.”
He then added that bashing are expected but they hope people can give them a chance. He expressed, “Ang goal lang naman namin is magtrabaho at magpasaya ng tao. Wala kaming gustong apakan na tao.”

No one can change the original eat Bulaga , but if somebody replace them pakapalan lang Ng mukha yan at mahigpit Ang pangangailangan, if you are in this business you must know how to respect the pillars of eat Bulaga, napag hahalata tuloy kayo, Yung mga bagong hosts parang mga kenkoy katawatawa
Very good to tell that paolo et.al. are just starting and cannot outdone TVJ and others. That is a sign of humility. Thumbs up for you beginners at EB….
